So - what is Kava?  Kava is a small shrub grown in many areas of the South Pacific islands. The root and stump of the plant are ground down and made into a powder. When mixed with water and consumed as a drink, the effect is relaxation of the mind and body and a sense of calm and euphoria, making it ideal to use for social relaxation.  Islanders have enjoyed kava socially, spiritually, and medicinally for over 3,000 years! 

Benefits of Kava include the fact that it is non-alcoholic, non-habit and has far fewer calories than an alcoholic drink (depending on whether it's mixed with juice).  Kava can be used to reduce stress and anxiety, help with focus and mental clarity and many people say that it improves their sleep.
