Being that I had a doctor's appointment this morning, I was not alowed to eat anything after 8pm last night. Don't worry, it was a planned check-up. Well, after I left the doctor (I had the correct time, I just showed up a week early. Better than late I suppose). I decided to go to Tulipan Cafe/Bakery on Belvedere Rd. In a non-descript neighborhood on a corner sat this little bakery. The crowd was huge but the sewrvice so quick and effiecient, kept it moving very fast. This place was as busy as a Jewish Bakery just before the start of a Holiday. I decided to get an assortment of pasteries. I left it up to the clerk behind rhe counter to pick them out. When I got back to the car (Remember, I still had nothing to eat) I closed my eyes and picked. I think I got a frosted flakey, gooey, caramel. There are no words to adequetly describe the tastes going on in my mouth. I think my tongue was doing a Tango! And my tonsils had Happy Feet! I had 2 more (hey, I like breakfast!) Tomorrow, I think I sill skip breakfast again. And again until I run out of all the wonderful pasteries.

Their cafe con leche is out of this world! They are just about the only place around that will make a DECAF cafe con leche and have it taste fantastic. As for the service, it doesn''t get any friendlier than the awesome ladies that work at the North Palm Beach location!

We traveled to this wonderful little bakery because I have been searching for Sandwiches de Miga (little perfect sandwiches they make on very thin bread with ham, cheese, sliced, egg, etc. inside.) I just love them and they are very hard to find. The ones that they offer are called "olympia sandwich". They have several varieties. Of course, we saw the awesome display of baked goods and were sorely tempted, but stuck to the sandwiches. We will return to sample more baked goods. They looked gorgeous!

This was one of the best experiences I have had. The food and pastries were so good it made me high. the service, though the place was busy, was friendly and curteous. I did not want to leave and I will be going back again and again.
